According to its official website, Absa is the brand of Absa Bank Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Absa Group Limited, and offers retail, business, wealth management, corporate and investment banking solutions across South Africa. JSE-listed Absa Group presents itself as one of Africa's largest diversified financial services groups, with a presence in 15 African countries and offices in the United Kingdom and the United States; the group has banks in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. The bank's products include current and savings accounts, fixed deposits, loans, credit cards, insurance, Absa Online and the Absa Banking App, online share trading, wealth and investment management, trade finance and Islamic banking. Its head office is at Absa Towers West in Johannesburg. The site states that Absa Bank Limited is an authorised financial services provider and a registered credit provider (NCRCP7). The FSCA register also lists a second FSP record under Absa Bank Limited (FSP 523) and Absa Stockbrokers and Portfolio Management (Pty) Ltd, the online share trading business.
