According to their official websites, AIB (NI) and Allied Irish Bank (GB) are brands used under licence by AIB Group (UK) p.l.c., which is incorporated in Northern Ireland with its registered office in Belfast. In Great Britain the bank offers business and corporate banking as Allied Irish Bank (GB), providing business current accounts, savings and deposit accounts, loans and overdrafts, business credit cards, asset finance, treasury services and currency accounts through iBusiness Banking, the AIB Business (iBB) app, online and phone banking. The site announces the sale of part of its SME loan portfolio to Promontoria Maple DAC, an affiliate of Cerberus. In Northern Ireland it offers personal banking as AIB (NI), including current accounts, savings, loans, credit cards and mortgages through branches, online and mobile banking. The site says AIB Group (UK) p.l.c. is covered by the FSCS. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, AIB Group (UK) p.l.c. is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
