According to its official website, Alpha Transfers is a trading name of MDRN-FX Services Limited and provides money transfers to Brazil and in Brazilian reais, sterling and euros, aimed mainly at Brazilians in the United Kingdom; the site states that the company is authorised by the FCA as a payment institution (FRN 540997). Transfers are made through the Alpha Transfers mobile app (Google Play, App Store), by phone/WhatsApp and at the branch in Kensal Green, London; the site says the first two transfers are free, later ones cost GBP 3 regardless of amount, and urgent transfers are paid in Brazil on the same business day. According to a notice dated 14 September 2026, the company is ending its money transfer service for personal customers and SMEs and refocusing on cross-border payments for companies: the shop at 27 Kilburn Lane closes on 28 October 2026 and all customer agreements end on 14 December 2026; the firm remains authorised by the FCA and continues to trade.
