According to its official website, Bangkok Bank was founded in 1944, is Thailand's largest bank by assets and has the largest international network of any Thai bank, with branches in 14 economies. The site says it is the only Thai commercial bank with a presence in the United Kingdom and Europe, that its London branch commenced business in 1957 and that it is authorised by the PRA and regulated by the FCA; the branch is at Exchequer Court, 33 St. Mary Axe, London.
