According to its official website, Beehive is a digital platform that helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the GCC access fast, flexible finance, with investors funding these businesses. The site says the platform launched in November 2014, became DFSA-regulated in March 2017, launched in Saudi Arabia in 2020 and Oman in 2022, joined e& enterprise in 2023, and that total funding reached 5.4 billion AED by the third quarter of 2026. Investors shape their portfolios through product split, maximum exposure per business and risk-grade filters; an account can be opened with 5,000 AED, the minimum bid per business is 500 AED, and retail investors' maximum exposure to one business is capped at 36,000 AED under DFSA rules. The site stresses that the financing contract is directly between the investor and the business and that part or all of an investment may be lost on default; a capital guarantee scheme for Emirati businesses is also offered with Dubai SME. Beehive P2P Limited, listed in the DFSA register under reference F004422, is authorised with retail client, client asset and Islamic window endorsements solely for operating a loan crowdfunding platform and arranging credit on that platform. Across the complaints, SME financings left unrepaid for years, allegations that defaults are not clearly disclosed, and account openings left unresolved for long periods stand out.
