According to its official website, Cardaq is a London-based cards and payments company operating since October 2011 that provides end-to-end card processing and merchant acquiring for low- and medium-risk businesses; it says it serves 1,500 clients. It offers online and in-store payment acceptance, fraud protection, branded card issuing from debit cards to World Elite Mastercard programmes, and e-wallet accounts for businesses, card programmes, institutions (payment facilitator model) and merchants; it integrates through APIs, hosted checkout and plugins and says it is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. The Pridepay and Teido brands also belong to the group; the site shows that it also serves Canada together with Cardaq Canada Limited. According to its firm status page, Cardaq Limited is an electronic money institution authorised by the FCA (FRN 900088) with a passport notification to Gibraltar. According to Companies House the company was incorporated in 2011. This information is the company's own statement.

The complaint distribution is based on the 1-star reviews on Cardaq's Trustpilot page (4) as of 8 October 2026; one person's reviews count once, and records about fake sites and third parties using the Cardaq name are left out. Across the complaints, customer service and the complaints unit being unreachable, and allegations that payments were processed for illegal offshore gambling sites stand out.
