According to its official websites, Close Brothers is a London-based specialist banking group that provides financial support to businesses and individuals; its savings site says it is a merchant bank that has operated since 1878. The group's bank is the UK-incorporated Close Brothers Limited, a subsidiary of Close Brothers Group plc, and Close Brothers Savings is a trading style of this company. On the lending side it offers asset finance, aviation and marine finance, invoice finance, bridging and property finance and vehicle hire, and provides individuals with motor finance through a dealer network and insurance premium finance. Close Brothers Savings offers individuals easy access and notice accounts, fixed-rate bonds and fixed-rate Cash ISAs (opened with at least 10,000 GBP), and businesses notice and fixed-term deposit accounts; accounts are managed through online banking. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Close Brothers Limited is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
