According to its official website, DF Capital is a savings and commercial lending bank based in Manchester, founded in 2016 as Distribution Finance Capital. The bank is a subsidiary of Distribution Finance Capital Holdings plc, which is traded on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market, and says it obtained full authorisation as a bank in September 2020. Personal and business customers are offered fixed rate deposits (1, 2 and 5 years), notice accounts and easy access savings accounts; deposits range from GBP 1,000 to GBP 250,000 for individuals and GBP 20,000 to GBP 250,000 for businesses, and accounts are opened and managed online. Deposits are used to finance UK SMEs: the bank provides inventory finance and structured finance to dealers and manufacturers and personal finance (DFRNT) through approved dealers; the site states that the group's commercial lending products are unregulated. Eligible deposits are protected up to GBP 120,000 by the FSCS. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, DF Capital Bank Limited is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
