According to its official website, Eris FX is an independent foreign exchange and international payments company based in Leeds, founded by CEO Helen Scott, who worked for many years in institutional FX in the City of London and in Tokyo. The site says it has been authorised by the FCA as a payment institution since 2013 (FRN 591533) and is registered with HMRC for anti-money laundering under number 12197726. It helps businesses and individuals send money abroad for purposes such as supplier payments, overseas property purchases, repatriating profits and pension transfers; it offers live streaming rates updated every second, a transparent percentage margin over the mid-market rate, same-day, next-day or spot settlement, and dealing via its online platform or by phone. The transfer fee is built into the rate, everyone pays the same price for the same size of transaction, and incoming funds are held in segregated client accounts at the Currency Cloud. The minimum transaction is 1,000 GBP; only bank-to-bank transfers are offered, no cash. The site also warns about fake job offers made in the Eris FX name (via WhatsApp, erisfxtalent.com, erisfx-hire.com) and says erisfx.co.uk is its only website. According to Companies House, the company was incorporated in 2004. This information is the company's own statement.
