According to its official website, GB Bank is a privately owned specialist bank founded in 2017 that received full banking authorisation in 2022, with its registered office in Mayfair, London. UK-incorporated GB Bank Limited offers buy-to-let, bridging, and semi-commercial and commercial property loans to property investors and developers, funded by deposits from personal and business customers. The site says it received a significant investment from Hera Holdings in 2024 and provides structured finance to non-bank lenders through its subsidiary SilverRock Financial Services. Savings products include fixed rate bonds, notice accounts and an easy access account; accounts open with at least 1,000 GBP and are managed online and in the GB Bank mobile app. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, GB Bank Limited is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA; the site says eligible deposits are protected by the FSCS up to 120,000 GBP per person.
