According to its official website, Global Capital is the brand of Nicosia-based Global Capital Securities and Financial Services Ltd, which provides investment services to individuals and corporations. The company was incorporated in 1997, became a member of the Cyprus Stock Exchange that year and was licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) as an investment firm in May 2003 (licence 015/03); it has been a remote member of the Athens Exchange since 2008. The site says the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Capital Ltd, 84.64% of which is held by The Cyprus Development Bank Public Company Ltd (cdbbank). Services include order reception and execution on the Cyprus and Athens exchanges, access to international exchanges through the Interactive Brokers, BETA and Swissquote platforms, over-the-counter bond transactions, theme funds and discretionary portfolio management, investment advice, alternative investment funds and corporate advisory for prospectuses and takeover bids.
