According to its official website, GSR is a crypto trading firm and liquidity provider serving token issuers, exchanges, financial institutions, payment companies and asset managers. The site says it operates in market making, OTC liquidity and market infrastructure (Markets), early-stage venture investing (Venture), digital asset advisory, and asset management covering ETFs and hedge fund strategies, and that it acquired Autonomous and Architech for $57 million. In the UK, GSR Markets UK Limited is registered with the FCA as a cryptoasset firm under the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR); this registration is an anti-money-laundering registration, not an investment-services licence. Group company GSR Markets Pte. Ltd. is authorised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution, and GSR Digital LLC (NMLS ID 2318094) serves US residents only in states where it is licensed as a money services business.
