According to its official website, Handelsbanken is a relationship bank founded in Sweden in 1871 that arrived in the UK in 1982. Its UK bank is Handelsbanken plc, registered at 25 Basinghall Street in London, with more than 120 branches across the country. The site says key banking decisions are made in branches by relationship managers who know the customer rather than centrally, and that it sets no sales targets or bonuses. The bank offers personal and corporate clients current accounts, savings (Reserve Account, 10-day and 35-day notice deposits, fixed term deposits, cash ISA), mortgages, corporate banking and financing, foreign exchange and wealth management. Its relationship-managed banking service costs 25 GBP a month; the cash ISA opens with at least 10 GBP. Personal and corporate online banking are available. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Handelsbanken plc is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
