According to its official website, Katanox is a financial infrastructure company founded in Amsterdam in 2020 that combines payments, reconciliation and booking distribution for the hospitality industry on one platform; its UK entity is Katanox Financial Technology Ltd at 2 Eastbourne Terrace, London. The site says it obtained a payments licence for the EEA under PSD2 in 2021, a FinCEN money services business (MSB) registration in the US in 2023 and a financial licence in the UK in 2025, and that it is authorised by the FCA to offer payment services in the UK; the name of the authority that granted the EEA licence and the licence number are not given on the site. Services are for corporate clients: account-to-account (A2A) payments between hotels and travel agents instead of virtual credit cards, daily payouts to hotels, commission and reconciliation management, advance funding for agents through Katanox Capital and direct distribution of hotel inventory to agents (connectivity, contracting and booking), all via API.
