According to its official website, Kela Securities is a brokerage founded to become South Africa's first non-bank-affiliated equity derivatives market maker, a milestone it says it reached on 1 June 2026. Kela Securities (Pty) Ltd is an authorised financial services provider under the FSCA (FSP 51777); the site says the firm is an equity and derivatives member of the JSE and a member of A2X. The team is described as former colleagues from Credit Suisse Securities (Johannesburg) with more than 70 years of combined market experience. Services include equity market making, high-touch and low-touch trading with a DMA algorithm suite, liquidity provision on the JSE and A2X, futures, options, structured products, ETFs and warrants, scrip lending for pension funds, local research (with global research through Mill Street Research) and corporate access.
