According to its official website, Kotani Pay is on-ramp/off-ramp infrastructure that connects Web3 users to local payment channels across Africa, letting users cash digital assets in and out through the local payment channel of their choice. For businesses it offers stablecoin/fiat settlement solutions for liquidity needs, APIs that connect dApp wallets and blockchain networks to local payment channels, a white-label API, STK Push and an SMS-based blockchain wallet that works without internet access. It says it supports more than 15 blockchains, including Polygon, Celo, Optimism, Stellar, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Cardano and the Lightning Network. Its team page includes a director for Ghana. According to its compliance page it applies know-your-customer checks, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring; Kotani Pay is a financial services provider authorised by the FSCA in South Africa (FSP 53594).
