According to its official website, Moorwand is a payments infrastructure company that helps businesses and fintechs take their own payment solutions to market. The company offers BIN sponsorship and card programme set-up through its principal card scheme membership, card issuing for reloadable, employee, travel and fintech cards, digital banking with Faster Payments in the UK and SEPA instant payments in the Eurozone, electronic money services, open banking and payments compliance services; it says it works with agents and distributors and that client funds are held in segregated safeguarding accounts at authorised credit institutions. The site says it obtained exempted electronic money institution status in 2017, became a direct SEPA participant in 2019 and has staff in London and Chisinau. Moorwand Ltd is registered in London (3 Lloyd's Avenue) and the site states that it is an Authorised Electronic Money Institution regulated by the FCA (900709).
