According to its official website, Payzen is an online digital remittance platform operated by Payzen Limited. The site says the Payzen brand is owned by SafariPay Financial Services Inc and licensed to Payzen Limited, and that Payzen Limited is authorised by the FCA as an Authorised Payment Institution for money remittance under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN 836824). The service is aimed at individual customers: it offers transfers to more than 40 countries to mobile wallets, bank accounts and cash agents, as well as airtime top-ups, through the website and the iOS/Android app. Depending on the sending country, the site also shows FinCEN registration numbers in the United States and FINTRAC registration numbers in Canada; these are anti-money-laundering registrations.
