According to its official website, Santander UK is the UK bank of the Banco Santander group, headquartered at 2 Triton Square, Regent's Place, London; it describes itself as a digital-first bank that keeps a human touch, serving personal, business and corporate customers. The group's two UK deposit-taking banks are Santander UK Plc and Santander Financial Services plc; the latter serves international customers under the trading name Santander International. The site and the FCA register show that both are authorised by the PRA and regulated by the FCA and the PRA. Through santander.co.uk it offers current accounts, savings accounts and ISAs, investments, mortgages, loans and credit cards via online banking and the mobile app; savings accounts can be opened with an initial deposit from GBP 1. The Santander International site states that deposits held in the UK with Santander Financial Services plc are covered by the FSCS. This information is the company's own statement.
