According to its official website, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank London Branch is the London branch of Shanghai-based Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPDB), which opened in January 1993; the branch received UK banking licence approval on 18 December 2017 and became SPDB's first branch in Europe and outside Asia (the bank has three overseas branches, in Hong Kong, Singapore and London).
