According to its official website, Sygnia is a specialist financial services group headquartered in South Africa that provides investment management and administration solutions to institutional and retail clients located predominantly in South Africa; its services include multi-manager and index-tracking investment products, transition management, institutional and retail investment administration, employee benefit administration, stockbroking, securities lending and treasury services. According to the group's FAIS disclosure, Sygnia Securities (Pty) Limited is a member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and an execution-only stockbroker that does not engage in proprietary trading (FSP 45818), also providing securities lending; Sygnia Financial Services (Pty) Limited (FSP 44426) is a linked investment service provider (LISP) offering retirement products, investment policies and tax-free savings accounts to the retail market. The group also includes Sygnia Asset Management (FSP 873), Sygnia Life (FSP 2935) and WealthFoundry (FSP 49421). A Sygnia Securities account gives access to all JSE-listed equities as well as ETFs, ETNs, AMCs and futures; the firm states that it is authorised to trade only JSE-listed securities and does not provide investment advice. Brokerage is 0.50% (minimum ZAR 150) on the equity trading account and 0.18% on the ETF account; the site says there is currently no minimum investment amount.
