According to its official website, TalkRemit is a financial services company founded in 2016 that specialises in cross-border remittance and aims to help diaspora communities send money to relatives abroad at low cost. Through the website and its iOS and Android app it offers transfers to bank accounts, mobile wallets and cash pickup points, mobile top-up, an e-wallet (e-money account) and free in-app chat and video calls; the site mentions 17 sender countries and more than 40 destination countries and says a money-back guarantee applies to all transfers.
