According to its official website, ThinkMarkets was founded as ThinkForex in 2010 and became a multi-asset broker under the ThinkMarkets name in 2016. The website and platform services are operated by TF Global Markets (Aust) Pty Limited in Melbourne. TF Global Markets Int Limited, which serves international clients, is authorised by the Seychelles FSA (SD060). The site says it holds 10 licences and shows ASIC, FCA, CySEC, FSCA, DFSA, CIMA, FSC Mauritius and New Zealand FMA logos; for most of these licences the international site gives no entity name or number. TF Global Markets (STL) Limited in Saint Lucia is described only as registered. The company offers forex, commodity, index, crypto, share, ETF and futures CFDs on ThinkTrader, its TradingView integration, MT4 and MT5; the minimum deposit on the Standard, ThinkTrader and ThinkZero accounts is 10–100 USD. The group's Australian entity TF GLOBAL SECURITIES (AUST) PTY LTD (AFSL 412816) holds an AFS licence from ASIC. This information is the company's own statement.

Across the complaints, delayed or refused withdrawals, claims of cancelled profits and interference with trades, and slippage and platform problems stand out.
