According to its official website, Valbury is the brand of PT Valbury Asia Futures, a Jakarta-based futures broker (pialang berjangka); the group's history began in 1990 with PT Halim Danamas International, one of the founding members of the Jakarta Futures Exchange, and PT Valbury Asia Futures was set up as a separate company in 2003. It has branches in Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Medan, Makassar, Denpasar, Bandung and Solo. The company states that it is a BAPPEBTI-licensed futures broker (184/BAPPEBTI/SI/II/2003), that it holds a BAPPEBTI foreign order routing permit for US shares, an in-principle approval from the OJK for financial derivatives brokerage and a permit letter from Bank Indonesia; it is a member of the JFX and ICDX exchanges and of the KBI and ICH clearing houses. The site mentions Valbury Capital Limited, set up in London in 2011, as the group's international expansion, but states no licence for that company. Valbury offers forex, gold, silver, crude oil, index and US share trading through Alpha, Sirius and Vega accounts on the Valbury app, Valbury Web and MetaTrader 4.
