According to its official website, Arab National Bank (anb) is a Saudi joint stock company that started operations in 1979, is headquartered in Riyadh and is regulated and supervised by the Saudi Central Bank; its only branch outside Saudi Arabia is in London. The London branch was established in January 1991 at 35 Curzon Street in Mayfair and serves individuals, investors and companies doing business in or with Saudi Arabia. The branch offers accounts in GBP, EUR, USD and SAR, a debit card, standing orders, transfers, cheque and bill payment services, deposits in major currencies, spot and forward foreign exchange, sterling finance for residential and commercial property in the UK with property purchase support, and safe deposit boxes; for corporate banking it asks clients to get in touch. The site says eligible deposits are protected by the FSCS up to 120,000 pounds. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Arab National Bank is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits through its London branch and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
