According to its official website, Arbuthnot Latham is a London-based private and commercial bank founded in 1833 and part of Arbuthnot Banking Group, with teams also in Bristol, Exeter and Manchester. The bank offers private banking, commercial banking and wealth management. In private banking it provides current accounts, instant access savings, a 100-day notice account (minimum 50,000 pounds) and fixed term deposits in pounds, euros and dollars (minimum 100,000 pounds); the site says these savings accounts are typically for clients holding at least 750,000 pounds with the bank. Under the Arbuthnot Direct brand it offers fixed term deposits of between 10,000 and 250,000 pounds. On the commercial side new clients are expected to bring over 500,000 pounds of deposits or over 1 million pounds of borrowing, and it provides deposits, client money accounts, real estate and asset-based lending, government-backed finance and treasury services. Accounts can be managed through online and mobile banking. The site says Arbuthnot Direct deposits are protected by the FSCS. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
