According to its official website, Cambridge Building Society (The Cambridge) is an independent, member-owned mutual that has helped people have a home and provided a safe place for savings since 1850, 175 years; customers become members with a vote at the AGM. It is headquartered in Cambridge. Savings include instant access accounts, fixed rate and tracker bonds, Cash ISAs, regular savers, children's accounts and business accounts; lending covers first-time buyers, remortgaging, buy-to-let, shared ownership, self-employed and retirement interest-only mortgages, plus 'Rent to Home', which turns part of the rent into a future deposit. The Instant Access Account requires at least GBP 100 to open. Accounts are managed online, through The Cambridge Money App, in store, by phone and by post.
