According to its official website, CurrencyFair is a company founded in Ireland in 2010 that offers an online cross-border payment and foreign exchange service to customers globally; the site says it has on-boarded more than 200,000 customers and has offices in Ireland, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong. The parent company is CurrencyFair Limited in Dublin, a payment institution regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). In Australia the service is provided by Sydney-based CurrencyFair Australia Pty Ltd (AFSL 402709), of which CurrencyFair Limited is a corporate authorised representative. In Singapore, CurrencyFair (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a MAS-licensed Major Payment Institution and in Hong Kong CurrencyFair Asia Limited is a Money Service Operator; accounts for UK residents are provided by Moorwand Ltd.
