According to its official website, GlobalWebPay is a UK-based online international payments company operated by Global Web Pay Limited. The site says it has served individuals, businesses and charities in the United Kingdom since 2010, and that transfers to bank accounts can be made in local currency to more than 50 countries and over the SWIFT network in USD, EUR or GBP to more than 200 countries. Transfers are funded by bank transfer or debit card; the flat fee for SWIFT payments is typically GBP 4.75, monthly limits apply by account level and the minimum transfer is GBP 2. Business accounts for supplier and contractor payments are also offered to small businesses, freelancers and sole traders. The site says Global Web Pay Limited is authorised by the FCA for the provision of payment services (FRN 631844) and is registered with HMRC as a money service business (12627384); customer funds are said to be held in segregated accounts.
