According to its official website, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was created in April 2017 by the merger of two UAE banks, NBAD and FGB; it is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, is the UAE's largest bank and is about 37% owned by the UAE Government. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, First Abu Dhabi Bank P.J.S.C. is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits through its London branch and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA; the site says eligible deposits are protected by the FSCS.
