According to its official website, Family Building Society is a trading name of National Counties Building Society; the society was incorporated in London on 3 March 1896 as the Fourth Post Office Mutual Building Society, moved its head office to Epsom in 1966, became National Counties Building Society in 1972 and launched the Family Building Society brand in 2014. It offers easy access and Market Tracker savings accounts, fixed rate bonds, ISAs, notice and children's accounts and the Windfall Bond; its mortgage range covers first-time and family-assisted mortgages (The Family Mortgage), later life lending, buy-to-let, expat mortgages for UK nationals and specialist lending such as HMOs. Accounts are managed through the Online Service, by post and at the Epsom branch; the Market Tracker Saver can be opened with GBP 1.
