According to its official website, Fire Service Credit Union (FSCU) is a credit union founded in 1972 by a group of firefighters to support each other financially. Membership is open only to fire and emergency services employees and their families; the site states that it is one of the few 'closed bond' credit unions left in Australia and the only one in South Australia, that members are part owners and that profits are returned to members through lower fees and better rates. Its office is at 22 Chancery Lane, Adelaide.
