According to its official website, FX Paymaster is an authorised Foreign Exchange Intermediary founded in 2015 that provides international payments and currency services to South African small and medium-sized businesses and individuals. The company states that it is never a principal to any transaction: all foreign exchange deals are executed with an Authorised Dealer Bank in the client's name in line with SARB exchange control rules, and clients only ever pay funds into their own account at its banking partners Capitec or Investec Bank. It says that online registration opens a free bank account in the client's name at the partner bank and that the FX Paymaster Online platform lets clients secure rates, manage beneficiaries and send payment instructions. The homepage shows a fixed 0.5% margin and a 250 ZAR fee per transfer abroad; the company explains that it is paid from a pre-negotiated margin shared with the bank. Products include business payments, personal transfers, advance payments, and spot and forward contracts. FX Paymaster says it is authorised under FAIS categories 1.13, 1.17 and 1.18 and is an accountable institution registered with the Financial Intelligence Centre under reference AI/151126/00009. This information is the company's own statement.
