According to its official website, JP Markets is a South African forex and CFD broker operating across Africa that says it has more than 400,000 clients. JP Markets SA (Pty) Ltd (2016/123297/07), which operates the site, is presented as an FSCA-authorised financial services provider (FSP 46855) and over-the-counter derivatives provider (ODP); its registered address is in Century City, Cape Town. The company says it only offers services in South Africa, Namibia, Eswatini and Lesotho and does not serve U.S. investors. It offers trading on forex, indices, commodities, stocks and cryptocurrencies through ECN or STP accounts, synthetic volatility indices available 24/7, the MetaTrader 5 platform and the JP Markets mobile app. For the synthetic indices account the minimum deposit is 100 ZAR and the maximum leverage 1:100; the FAQ, however, states that a minimum deposit is not mandatory and that the minimum equity needed to trade depends on the margin requirement of the instrument. Deposits and withdrawals are made by bank transfer, instant EFT and various local payment providers; the company says client funds are held in segregated accounts at banks. Bonus campaigns (such as the Restart Bonus Account) have been run. This information is the company's own statement.

Across the complaints, deposits not reflected in accounts, long-delayed withdrawals and claims, and bonus and cashback conditions stand out.
