According to its official website, PNB Europe belongs to the Philippine National Bank (PNB) group of the Philippines. PNB opened a representative office in London in 1968 and a branch in 1976; its UK-incorporated subsidiary Philippine National Bank (Europe) Plc started trading on 1 September 1997 after being authorised in July 1997. The bank offers money transfers from the UK and other European countries to the Philippines (over the counter, by phone and by bank transfer) and remittance-linked sterling and US dollar accounts; the minimum initial deposit for a sterling account is 100 GBP. The site says loan products are no longer offered and that the WebRemit online remittance service has been unavailable since May 2024. As the official site could not be accessed (403) as of 8 October 2026, this information is based on archived copies of the site from November 2025. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Philippine National Bank (Europe) Plc is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
