According to its official website, Suncorp Bank is an Australian bank whose roots in Queensland go back more than 120 years, to a first loan made to a farmer by the Queensland Agricultural Bank; it grew out of Suncorp Metway, formed by the merger of Metway Bank with the government-owned QIDC and Suncorp. The site states that Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) acquired Norfina Limited (Suncorp Bank) on 31 July 2024 and that all Suncorp Bank products and accounts will move to ANZ in the future; the SUNCORP brand and Sun logo are used under licence and the bank is no longer part of the Suncorp Group. The bank offers personal and business customers everyday transaction accounts, savings and kids accounts, term deposits, home loans and business banking products; services are provided through branches, phone, internet banking and the Suncorp Bank App, and Bank@Post services with Australia Post reach more than 3,500 communities.
