Personal data we process

- Complaint content: the institution concerned, topic, description and any documents you upload (screenshots, receipts, etc.).
- Security information: an irreversible hash of your IP address and the date and time of submission.
- Cookie data: analytics and advertising cookies only if you give consent (see the Cookie Policy for details).
Purposes of processing
- Reviewing your complaint, sharing it with the institution concerned and responding to you,
- Keeping the platform secure and preventing abuse and spam,
- Complying with legal obligations and using records as evidence in possible disputes,
- With your consent, analysing site usage and measuring advertising.
- Also, with your permission, publishing your complaint on the site as a text stripped of personal data, with all identity and contact details hidden except your first name and the initial of your last name.
Legal grounds
Your personal data is processed on the grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: processing being necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, the legitimate interests of the data controller and compliance with legal obligations; analytics and advertising cookies and publication of your complaint on the site are based on your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent to publication at any time.
Transfers
Your personal data (name, email, phone number, complaint content and documents) may be transferred, in line with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, to the institution you are complaining about after review by the site team, in order to resolve the complaint and contact you; to competent public authorities upon legal request; and to our hosting and email infrastructure providers. Analytics and advertising services (e.g. Google, Meta) may be located abroad; such transfers take place only with your explicit consent.
Retention period
Complaint records are kept for as long as required for the purpose of processing and for the limitation periods set out in the applicable legislation; at the end of that period they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information, request correction or deletion of your data, know the third parties to whom it has been transferred, object, and claim compensation for damages. You can send your requests to [[email protected]]. Requests are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
