Privacy Notice

This privacy notice has been prepared by ForexQ.com, as data controller, under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL"), to inform you about the personal data processed through the https://forexq.com website.

Data controller

Personal data we process

  • Identity and contact details: the first name, last name, email address and (optional) phone number you share in the complaint form.
  • Complaint content: the institution complained about, the topic, your description and the documents you upload (screenshots, receipts, etc.).
  • Security data: an irreversible encrypted hash of your IP address and the date and time of submission; in addition, server access logs record the IP address, browser information and the page visited.
  • Cookie data: analytics and advertising cookies only if you consent (see the Cookie Policy for details).

Purposes of processing

  • Reviewing your complaint, sharing it with the institution concerned and getting back to you,
  • Keeping the platform secure and preventing abuse and spam,
  • Complying with legal obligations and using the data as evidence in possible disputes,
  • If you consent, analysing site usage and measuring advertising,
  • If you give permission, publishing your complaint on the site with all identity and contact details hidden except your first name and the initial of your last name, and with personal data removed from the text where necessary.

Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed under Article 5 of the PDPL on the grounds that processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, for the legitimate interests of the data controller and for compliance with legal obligations; analytics and advertising cookies and the publication of your complaint on the site are based on your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent to publication at any time.

Transfers

Your personal data (name, surname, email, phone, complaint content and documents) may be transferred, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the PDPL, after review by the site management, only to the institution you complained about, so that the complaint can be resolved and you can be contacted; to competent public authorities upon legal request; and to our hosting, content delivery and email service providers.

Transfers abroad

The site's server is hosted in a data centre in France, and site traffic is routed through the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) for security and performance. Your personal data may therefore be processed abroad; such transfers are carried out in accordance with the conditions set out in Article 9 of the PDPL. If analytics and advertising services (e.g. Google, Meta) are used, data is transferred to them only with your explicit consent.

Retention

  • Complaint records and attachments are kept for 10 years from the date of the last action; after that they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
  • Server access logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
  • Encrypted IP hashes kept to limit repeated submissions are deleted within 24 hours at the latest.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the PDPL you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred, to request its correction if incomplete or inaccurate and its deletion or destruction, to object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

You can send your requests, together with information that allows us to verify your identity, to [email protected]. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If your request is rejected or not answered in time, you may file a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
