According to its official website, Altery is a money account and payments platform designed for everyday life. It offers holding GBP, EUR and USD in one account, converting between these currencies at live rates, sending and receiving money instantly, sending money directly to Mastercard and Visa cards, and international money transfers; for businesses it also mentions currency wallets, cross-border payments, card issuing at scale, multi-company management and digital asset support. Accounts are opened through the mobile app. Altery Ltd in the UK (company no 06984177, London) is authorised by the FCA as an electronic money institution (FRN 901037). The site states that Altery has been launched in the EU through Altery EU Ltd (HE 415141, 115.1.3.61, Limassol), authorised by the Central Bank of Cyprus as an electronic money institution, to a limited group of early access users.
