According to its official website, China Merchants Bank (CMB) is a Chinese bank founded in Shenzhen in 1987 by China Merchants Group and listed on the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock exchanges. CMB's London branch is at 20 Fenchurch Street in London; the site says it received private banking permission from the UK regulators in January 2020 and that the China Merchants Bank Private Banking (London) Centre serves private banking clients. These clients are offered current accounts, term deposits, remittances, foreign exchange and certificates of deposit; the multi-currency account accepts 7 currencies: GBP, USD, HKD, EUR, CNH, CAD and AUD.
