According to its official website, Crypto.com is a cryptocurrency platform operating since 2016 that says it has more than 150 million users worldwide. In the UK, Foris DAX UK Limited (company no 12843841), which trades as Crypto.com through the Crypto.com App, is registered with the FCA as a cryptoasset firm under the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR); this registration is an anti-money-laundering registration, not an investment-services licence. The site says some products in the app are provided by other group companies; its licences page also lists an electronic money institution licence for the UK, and ForisGFS UK Limited is listed in the FCA register as an authorised electronic money institution. In Europe, Foris DAX MT Limited is authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA, and Foris MT Limited, which says it is licensed by the MFSA as an electronic money institution, issues the Crypto.com Visa Card. The licences page also lists licences and registrations in Singapore, Dubai, Australia, the US and other countries. Products include crypto trading, Earn and staking, the Visa card, Crypto.com Pay and the Onchain wallet. The group's Cyprus entity Foris Capital CY Ltd holds Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) licence 344/17 from CySEC. This information is the company's own statement.
