According to its official website, LCG (London Capital Group) is a broker founded in 1996 and based at 75 King William Street in London; it says it has operated both as a private and as a public company. London Capital Group Ltd (company no 3218125) states that it is authorised and regulated by the FCA (FRN 182110); no other group company or licence appears on the site. According to the company, Dave Worsfold and Matt Basi took over its management in January 2023, the former model under which it held client money and acted as counterparty to client trades on its own platform was gradually wound down, and the last client trades were closed on 15 December 2023. Today the company refers clients to third-party partners, which it does not name; it supports them with account opening, client service, trade execution and dispute resolution, and is paid commissions by its partners. Its services cover spread betting, CFDs, futures, equities and forex; it says it does not deal as principal and does not provide investment advice or discretionary management. Funds of legacy clients that have not yet been returned are said to remain in a segregated client money account. This information is the company's own statement.
