The company says it started out as Moneytech Payments, rebranded as Monoova in 2019, added FX capability for international payments in July 2022 and is today a fully independent Australian payments company. Its services include real-time payments (Osko, PayID and PayTo), direct debit, BPAY, card acceptance including Apple Pay and Google Pay, recipient account verification, virtual accounts, automated reconciliation and reporting, and FX-enabled international payments; the site says that as of mid-2024 it facilitated a majority of all PayTo activity. Its clients are businesses and platforms ranging from start-ups to enterprises. Services are provided by Monoova Payments Pty Limited (AR No. 428863), the authorised representative of Monoova Global Payments Pty Ltd, which holds AFSL 421414; both companies are enrolled as reporting entities with AUSTRAC.
