According to its official website, National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) is the Cyprus bank of the National Bank of Greece (NBG) group; NBG was founded in 1841 as the first bank of the modern Greek state, its shares have traded on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1880 and the group operates in Southeastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.
