According to its official website, OCBC London Branch is the branch of Singapore-based Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (OCBC Bank) established on 4 August 1969 in the heart of London's financial centre, and it says it was the first Singaporean bank in London. The branch offers loans and advances, trade finance, treasury services, deposits, remittances, project financing, subscription financing, and foreign exchange and money market dealings. It provides real estate financing for commercial and residential property, hotels and student accommodation, commodities financing particularly for oil and gas and steel and metals trading, and project finance for infrastructure and industrial projects in the UK and Europe with a focus on green financing. It accepts deposits with tenors of up to one year in USD, GBP, EUR and CNH and serves financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions and supranational organisations as well as corporates. The site says Bank of Singapore is the trading name of OCBC's private banking business in London. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, the branch is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA. The group's Australian entity OVERSEA-CHINESE BANKING CORPORATION LIMITED (AFSL 237585) holds an AFS licence from ASIC. This information is the company's own statement.
