According to its official website, People First Bank is a trading name of Heritage and People's Choice Ltd; Heritage Bank and People's Choice Credit Union are also trading names of the same company. Heritage Bank and People's Choice merged in March 2023 to create one of Australia's largest customer-owned banks, and the People First Bank brand officially launched on 5 May 2026.
