According to its official website, Punjab National Bank (International) Limited (PNBIL) is a UK-incorporated commercial bank wholly owned by Punjab National Bank (PNB), a public sector bank in India. The company was incorporated on 13 April 2006, received its banking authorisation on 13 April 2007 and started operations in May 2007; its corporate office is at Moorgate in London, and it has seven branches in London (Moorgate, Southall, Ilford, Wembley) and the Midlands (Leicester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton). The bank offers GBP, EUR and USD current accounts, savings and fixed-term deposit accounts, Cash ISA, business accounts, loans, money transfers to PNB accounts in India, a Debit MasterCard, NRI services and safe deposit lockers; internet banking and a mobile app are available. The site says eligible deposits are protected by the FSCS up to 120,000 GBP.
