According to its official website, Sasai Fintech, part of the Cassava Technologies group, is a fintech company that builds payment and digital platform solutions for banks, telecom operators, merchants and SMEs in Africa. Its products include the white-label social payments super app Sasai App, Remittance as a Service, white-label mobile money wallet infrastructure, digital payment solutions and micro-insurance. Through the consumer service Sasai Money Transfer, money can be sent from the United Kingdom and South Africa to more than 20 countries, with free transfers to Zimbabwe. The Sasai Money Transfer site states that Sasai Fintech Limited in London is authorised by the FCA under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 for the provision of payment services (FRN 574783) and registered with HMRC for anti-money laundering purposes (no 12192388), and that in South Africa the service is provided by Sasai Fintech (Pty) Ltd, regulated by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
