According to the official website of Shinhan Financial Group, Shinhan Bank London Branch is the London branch of Seoul-based Shinhan Bank, launched on 7 July 1982 as Korea's first private bank. According to the bank's July 2025 announcement as reported in the press, the branch moved to new offices at 8 Bishopsgate; a key hub of the bank's global strategy for over 30 years, it acts as the regional headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and set up a Global Capital Market (GCM) desk in January 2025. Because the English pages of shinhan.com could not be read, the branch's client base and products could not be confirmed on the site; according to the FCA register, its permissions include accepting deposits, dealing and arranging in investments and advising on investments. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Shinhan Bank is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits through its London branch and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
