According to its official website, Tink is an open banking platform founded in 2012, wholly owned by Visa since 2022 and headquartered in Stockholm ("Tink, a Visa solution"). According to its licence information, in the UK payment initiation and account information services are provided by Tink Financial Services Limited in London (1 Sheldon Square), which is regulated by the FCA as an authorised payment institution (FRN 988456); in the EEA Tink AB is an authorised payment institution of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI, 44059) and Tink Germany GmbH of BaFin (10152149).
